Made to Last, Made Responsibly
Sustainability at Rahinos isn't a marketing page — it's a set of working constraints we design within. Here's where we are, honestly, including what we haven't solved yet.
Durability Is the First Sustainability
The most sustainable garment is the one you don’t replace. We over-engineer seams, use abrasion-tested fabrics, and cut silhouettes that outlive trends — because a piece worn for years beats one recycled after months.
Fabric & Sourcing
- —We prioritise mills that hold recognised environmental certifications and publish their processes.
- —Recycled and regenerated fibres are used wherever they meet our performance bar — never as a badge when they don't.
- —Dye houses are selected for water treatment and chemical management practices.
Manufacturing
- —Our garments are made in India, in factories we visit personally.
- —We work only with partners who provide fair wages and safe working conditions.
- —Short, local supply chains mean lower transport emissions and faster quality feedback loops.
Packaging
- —Orders ship in recycled and recyclable mailers — no plastic-in-plastic-in-plastic.
- —Tags and inserts are printed on recycled paper stock.
What We Haven't Solved
Full fibre-to-garment traceability and a take-back programme for worn-out pieces are still ahead of us. We’d rather tell you that plainly than overstate where we are. As we grow, this page will grow with us.
